In addition to challenging internship opportunities, Project Onramp provides its scholars with opportunities to learn from industry professionals throughout the summer. Each cohort of students will also get a chance to network with many employees of our partner companies as well as with each other.

Project Onramp Bay Area Scholars Kick-Off Meeting
In this meeting, we’d like to introduce you all to one another, share some onboarding logistics & review & discuss the schedule of activities such as regular cohort meetings, development workshops with Biocom (our training partner), potential networking opportunities & The Project Onramp Bay Area Internship Showcase.

Biocom Presents: Pre-Internship Training
Life Science Cares Bay Area is partnering with Biocom California to provide Project Onramp interns with pre-internship training to prepare them with foundational skills that will support their success in a workplace. Interns will learn about the Bay Area Life science ecosystem and hear from a panel of industry professionals about how to successfully navigate an internship in life science. Interns will take the Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment and participate in a session in order to deepen their understanding of strengths and consider how to apply them during their internship.

Monthly Project Onramp Cohort Meetings
Project Onramp will be facilitating monthly cohort meetings with the interns to check in on their experience, provide support & provide another way for the interns to connect with one another.

Project Onramp Bay Area Summer Internship Celebration & Showcase
The showcase will be a celebration of the incredible work that the interns have accomplished. Each intern will have an opportunity to present their summer work and showcase the video they created about their internship experiences. Check out the link to the flyer here.
