Breaking Down Barriers
The life sciences industry in the Bay Area is poised to create opportunities for populations from underrepresented communities, helping to bridge the opportunity gap for many promising students. While many companies offer valuable internship opportunities, it can be difficult for students from these populations to gain access to internships, which are often a path to full-time employment.
Enter Project Onramp
Project Onramp has joined forces with leading life science organizations from all over the San Francisco Bay Area to connect passionate, high-achieving four-year college students with paid internships of up to 12 weeks. Across the San Francisco Bay Area, leading companies have collectively reserved a minimum of 15 internship slots for our Project Onramp Bay Area Program in summer 2022.
Opening new career possibilities for these talented students will not only increase diversity in our industry, but also enhance the ability of life science companies to deliver innovative solutions to address the needs of historically underserved patient populations. We are proud to support the work of Project Onramp Bay Area to improve representation of underserved communities and look forward to welcoming students to Global Blood Therapeutics.”
